Insert the MTV Music Generator CD into your CD-ROM drive. MTV Music Generator uses the Autorun feature of Windows« 95/98 so the installation program should appear automatically. If the Autorun feature is disabled on your computer then click on the [START] button then [RUN], type D:\SETUP EXE (where D: is the letter of your CD-ROM drive) then click [OK]. Alternatively, double-click on [My Computer], double-click on the CD-ROM drive icon, double-click on [SETUP.EXE].

A menu window will now appear with the following choices:

Test MTV Music Generator (This has to be pressed first, before the install option will function)
Install MTV Music Generator
Play MTV Music Generator
Uninstall MTV Music Generator
Exit MTV Music Generator launcher

Clicking Test MTV Music Generator will determine if your computer can run MTV Music Generator.
Clicking Install will launch the installation program.
Clicking Play will launch MTV Music Generator.
Clicking Uninstall will remove MTV Music Generator from your computer.
Clicking Exit MTV Music Generator launcher will exit from the menu window.

At the start of installing MTV Music Generator you will be given the option to install DIRECTX 7, if this is not already installed. DIRECTX 7 must be installed on your computer to play MTV Music Generator.
